Agnes & Indie

This is my most recent project; a Christmas gift commission to memorialize Indiana (on the right), a family friend’s pup. Had it printed to the back of a 12″x15″ piece of clear acrylic. It’s always hard to let a beloved pet go, but I hope this piece can preserve the memory and love that was shared.

Flight of the Bumblebee

I took this quick photo of a bumblebee while out working as an arborist. I was happy with how well it came out, especially compared to the rest of the blurry mess of pictures I took. This one kind of looked like an action shot, but really this little guy was just out working his day job, like I was.

The Oriole’s Orange

This is a piece that I made after seeing a photo of an Oriole and thinking that it was such a beautiful bird. I went on to research Orioles in more depth and found out that they are big fans of drinking from oranges, so I thought it would be fun to make a drawing of an Oriole striking a pose on one.

Shake

Dogs are great, I was at a client’s house, and this pup from the next door over came rushing out to give me a handshake, his older lab brother right behind, keeping a cautious distance, but close enough in case things went bad. I had to capture a snapshot of the moment it was too great.

Octopus

Octopuses are rad.

Lily

This is a portrait I “painted” of my dog, Lily. I love her, she’s a very good girl. I have done some pet portraits since this piece, and I have even improved a bit, but this portrait of my Lil-pup will always be a favorite of mine.

Vengeance

This was my favorite shot of The Batman (2022) I went to see it in the theater, and as soon as I got back home I started on it. I loved the colors, the angles, and of course, The Batman. I took the liberty of adding more of the interior of the vehicle as a frame for the shot, in order to add a little more context to the setting.

Lizzy

Lizzy is a Frenchie owned by and old boss of mine. She’s a strong little dog, and she has a larger than life personality.

Rocket

This was drawn from a reference I found online. I think it was originally a fox, but I felt like the photo had some serious dog energy, so I adjusted the subject matter accordingly. I am proud of the sense of movement and the use of color in this piece.
